Due to restrictions imposed on artists and art, locally and globally, ASHTAR Theatre is conducting a conference during this festival on the role of theatre in society and the right to Freedom of Expression. This conference will discuss how and why we use art, and especially theatre, to create social change in the world. Local and international artists will be participating in the conference presenting their experiences and point of view.

The conference is also open for the general public and will be streamed live on ASHTAR Theatre's Facebook page.
